Increase biodiversity in your borders by introducing these productive ornamental wildflowers. Sainfoin is a prolific nectar- and pollen-producing plant, corncockle’s solitary magenta flowers attract numerous beneficial insects, and wild carrot provides food for seed-feeding birds late in the season.

Treat these wildflowers like your favourite perennials and integrate them into your planting schemes to support nature and nurture your own wellbeing. Sow each species in swathes to fill gaps in garden borders, or propagate them in the green house or on your window sill and then plant them out exactly where you want them.

This collection includes three individual packets of seeds containing the following native wildflower species.

Sainfoin – The stalked pink flowers of sainfoin secrete nectar and pollen exceptionally freely and are adored by Short and Long-tongued Bumblebees, Honey Bees, and Solitary bees. A drought-resistant wildflower it thrives in gravel gardens and on stony brash and chalky ground.

Corncockle – Resilient and adaptable, corncockle blooms in midsummer with a solitary magenta flower that attracts numerous beneficial insects. Pair with musk-mallow and wild carrot in ornamental borders and deadhead to prolong its flowering time.

Wild Carrot – Flowering from midsummer through to autumn, and drawing in a diverse array of insects such as bees, beetles, and hoverflies, the blossoms of wild carrot have an intricate, lace-like appearance, making them an excellent selection for relaxed borders.
